Donations of Equipment

From time to time we are offered donations of equipment.

Boats

Unfortunalty we can not accept donations of boats, as all of our boats must be insured by the MoD. Before the MoD will insure the boat it must be surveyed by a MoD authorised boat surveyor, which the unit will have to pay for. The cost of the survey added to any cost involved in repairing the boat means that unit can not afford to accept any donations of boats.

Electrical Equipment / Computers

All electrical equipment in use in the unit must be PAT tested, any second hand equipment donated to the unit must also be PAT tested before it can be used. for this reason we are unable to take most donations of electrical equipment. We are also unable to take computers, as most of the computers offered to us have no hard drives or are to old to run the software we need.
