On Friday 12th June 10 cadets and 2 Staff left for a weekend on the Pride of Bristol.The weekend included ,seamanship activities,Firefighting, First aid,Power boat rides,and helmanship.7 Cadets have gained Third Class Chartwork and everyone had a good time.The trip was paid for by a grant from Bristol City Council which the Cadets put in a bid for last year.The Youth Opportunities Programme gave £2500 to pay for Cadets to go to sea and after 4 Cadets received free berths on the John Jerwood earlier in the year the remainder of the money enabled this trip to go ahead. On Sunday 14th June one cadet travelled to Weymouth to take part in the Veterans Day Parade. It was a very hot day but enjoyable day
